An investigation of the choreographic heritage of the Tamil communities in the Paris region, a piece about the emancipation of children with the residents in a senior-living center, a participative installation about parabolic antennas in La Réunion: the artists were all around 30 years old, from a range of disciplines, and they sought out audiences to share their creative projects, communicate their passion and share their skills.
Transat offers residencies from three to six weeks, focusing on the creation project of the artists as well as encounters with audiences and the transmission of ideas and practices. A grant of 2000- 5000€ is given to each artist depending on the length of time he or she is working, as well as the number of artists involved.
Transat was financed by the French Ministry of Culture, under the auspices of the “Cultural Summer. A joint initiative between the Ateliers Médicis and the French Ministry of Culture under the auspices of the “Cultural summer” proposed by the Ministry of Culture
